Today Harris engineers brought Snap Circuit boards and did a cool science lab on how electricity travels! Working with a partner we tried all sorts of projects using alarms, fans, and gyroscopes!
Great finish to our year of hands-on science!

NASA instructor wows the class!
We had a fabulous aeronautics lesson on Friday. NASA sent instructor Ms. Dotson to show us how Newton's laws impact rocketry. It was a hands-on lab with the chance to test our rocket designs. Enjoy these highlights of our lesson!
Thanks to Jane who created our iMovie of the event!

Silly Moments!
As the year draws to a close, we recognize how serious we have become! An annual tradition that leaves us laughing is our classroom talent show. We got into the costume box today and had 5 minutes to come up with a commercial. We will be doing the talent show for our class members only- but promise an i-Movie for the blog. Enjoy ... it is only 2 minutes long! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1L21ZykSwiA

Chick Fest 2013
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_DvIWuFNbE
Thanks to everyone who wore yellow and sent yum-o treats. Our real chicks are growing by leaps and bounds. The chicks in the video hatched this week and already seem big enough to escape their "nursery" baby pool. The students are fascinated with the chance to observe egg to chick cycle of life. It's a great week in Fourth Grade!
Here are a few candids from the day! The last two photos below are our class chicken "experts" showing the new chicks to Mrs. Craig's class.

Join us at 12:35 pm for the first event. (or a bit earlier if you want to meet the chicks everyone is raving about!)
Students should have sunscreen, water, and their class shirt. School hats and others too may come in handy in a bright sun.
Our Field Day is the last class scheduled and ends by 2 pm... hope to see lots of you there
