See you at Open House This Week!

I am looking forward to seeing parents at Indialantic Open House this week: Thursday, August 29th.
We will be having 2 sessions. The first session begins at 5:00 and the second session will begin at 6 pm.
It is a good opportunity to hear about the curriculum, grading, and class events. We will have sign up sheets for Volunteers.

Our First Day!

It was a wonderful first day!  Everyone was rested and ready to learn. We even did a math activity and completed our first anchor chart in our Reading Journal. Students have their planner and a homework sheet called the Big Day. Tomorrow we will use the goals they choose for a follow-up activity. Just to put ourselves at ease, we enjoyed an old favorite book, First Day Jitters with a surprise ending. We sipped some "Jitter Juice" and sighed a big sigh of relief... just 179 more days! What I know is how quickly that big number will pass.  I have a great first day photo to share, but don't know if all the students have permission to photograph. When I have that infomation and it is all clear, I can revise the blog entry to include the photo!
